This makes me think of those awesome Lego Department Store displays that use to come to Vancouver when I was a kid in the 1980's. They'd always come to Woodwards back then. ThanX for the memories!

@madcapromanian yes, the LEGO travelling road show brings back lots of memories! Those are part of the inspriation for what I build now! :)

I was at this show, this was an amazing layout and brought back many childhood memories, keep up the great work! I am still a huge fan of Lego in my adult years its a great hobby!

1977/8 was the first year the space minifig showed up. I think it was the year after they introduced Technic, but I'm not a LEGO hiostorian.

I got my first space lego set in christmas '78 and I still have it.
