@MrSouthernSurvival well lets see... a big rock to hit it on, a rock to hit it with a hole in the ground with a tunnel going into it for a hair dryer and some wood for fuel

@bowlie100 You need to use a high carbon steel for a striker, a file works well, and you can use a fire with charcoal, and blow air into it. You will burn your hand if you use such short pliers. Hope this helps :)

what type of liquid is it on that bucket and what do you use it for ??

It is oil. It is to harden the steel causing it to spark well. This is just a short clip of my 30 minute instructional DVD on how to forge a flint striker. In the DVD I go into complete detail on what I use and why. Thanks KT
