ThermalVideo.com compared all lensing options available on the new FLIR H-Series (320x240) cameras. We tested the optics to provide you with side-by-side comparison of the 3 Fields-of-View that are available to choose from.
In this example we have taken the FLIR H-Series Command Models and recorded video side by side. On the left, is the HS-324 Command unit with a 24 degree *HFOV. In the middle is the HS-324 Command unit with the 2X Optical Extender giving you a narrower 12 degree *HFOV. And on the right is the HS-307 Command unit with the integrated long range lens achieving more zoom with a 7 degree *HFOV.
*HFOV Horizontal Field-of-View
In each video shows the building's entrance at 300 feet away. The first 30 seconds of the video is shown as "White Hot" where warm objects are white and the last 30 seconds is "Black Hot" where warm objects are black.
You can use this video to see object detection, recognition, and identification ranges for each unit. We recommend using this to determine which FLIR H-Series camera is right for your application, and of course, sharing it with your friends! very cool and helpful. Would you do one showing what the 2x e-zoom looks like? Same unit showing std and 2x e-zoom....doesnt have to be all three at once.
