Many people think that religion has caused so many wars and death in the crusades and witch burnings but compared to godless leaders in more recent history atheism is far worse.

Another problem for atheists who claim morality: If evolution via natural selection has produced our morality, then actual "objective" moral right and wrong cannot exist. Evolution would only explain why we THINK there is a moral code. This would defeat the argument that we have one given by natural selection. All we could have is an illusion of a moral code. This leaves atheism self-defeating when appealing to moral issues such as pointing blame or accepting praise. Either these values are a given standard by moral law Giver or they're are completely illusory, given by random processes.
