A woman comes to the police with an abandoned baby that was left in her hands. After looking at the baby's birth certificate, though, they begin to get suspicious about the owner.
Very powerful, compelling episode. Without being as gross as today's movies and TV shows would have been, it portrays the anguish of a lonely, well-meaning woman. And you feel more for her situation this way, rather than have somebody saying, "I got lonely, I got drunk, and I got banged!" These "Dragnets" are GREAT theater.
