I-90 through Washington's desert, 100+ miles east of downtown Seattle. Yep, it's not all green and wet here in the Evergreen State. Crossing over the Columbia River.

  • The stereotype in the rest of the country is that washington is a rainy, forested place. That is not the case. 40% of the state is a dry, shrub steppe desert. I'm near Benton City / Prosser.

  • Washington state's nickname is "the Evergreen state" but i isn't that green in eastern Washington.that's why the population of the state is an awful lot higher in wet western Washington than dry eastern Washington.

  • The flashes of bridge trestle made for a cool and unexpected effect.

  • I,ve been across the same bridge on my way to and from Seattle. good video

  • iv'e caught some really huge fish out of that river right under that bridge
