President Barack Obama says he will have a national science fair next year to honor young inventors with the same gusto that college and professional athletes celebrate their victories at the White House. (Nov. 23)
America's new inventors don't compare to Ford, Ferris, Westinghouse, Tesla, and all the other geniuses who built this nation. Those Golden Years of American innovation are gone forever.
John Holdren is Obama's appointed Science Czar. Like all Czars, they were not approved by the Senate, which is unconstitutional. He advocated in his book "Ecoscience", sterilization of the human population by adding a sterilization drug to the food and water supply and the government taking babies away from single mom's. @warcraft1920 totally with you on this one, Obama is the man. Science and reason has always trumpted fear and bias. America isn't going backwards, we're going forwards!
@calinten You think he is a hypocrite because you only see success and advancement from one perspective. Its not just money. The dreams and spirit of the people have shifted with the times. Its about equality and well being for all. No more selfishness and greed. Yes Obama is trying to prevent the ill effects of wild capitalism. And yes this might be confused with the concept of Socialism. But Obama takes a different approach and has never -EVER- discouraged or dampened spirits.
Obama is such a hypocrite; of all the people to get to speak of advancing science and technology, he should be the last chosen. With all his efforts to turn America into a country of mindless socialistic/marxist worker drones who will work without a profit motive, the creative spirit of entreneurship will be crushed. The free market is what made this country great, not a socialistic/marxist system where even the lazy, and unimotivated are tit nursed into complacency by uninspired beaurocrats.
