Economic Collapse Prep Part 4

This is a windmill I built from PVC pipe, a treadmill motor, and a scrap piece of plywood.

It pivots on a 2" pole with an automotive wheel bearing. It easily produces 6V of current, but usually around 7.5V to 8V.

I will be charging huge golf cart 6V batteries wired in parallel. That way my charge will be over 6V. When I use the batteries, I will use quick connect adapters to change it to series parallel. That way I can get 12V on about 10 golf cart batteries.

You will need a large sized diode so the power will only go 1 direction into the batts.

Buddy... invest in a wall/fence/gate with spikes! and keep some barbed wire in your garage. You are buying all these things for the looters to come and trample over. I dont understand it, you're a really smart guy but defense is more important than electricity & food. Defense is more important than anything! Trust me I've lived in the 3rd world.....

If you watch video 1, you will see a .223 with armor piercing ammunition. Along with that, I have multiple cans of teargas, a watch dog, and a sidearm.

If looters come, they better be extremely armed. Also I have a lot of armor on my exterior home. Including Bullet proof storm doors with multiple locks (in my videos) & am in the process of putting security measures on my lower floor windows.

Ok lets say it collapses people who are still paying for their homes the gov will take that away and they will be homeless correct? Did U pay off your house???Just curious...I wonder how many people will be homeless

True. My home is paid off.... But the government won't take away that many homes. People will start defending with their lives.

you won't get 12v from any kind of wiring combination, but I bet you're talking about something more complicated having to do with an inverter?

Neat, gets my imagination going .... especially how the Mexicans will use your power source after using your body as fuel and food.

You don't get it.

You use 6V batteries. Wire them in a series X2 and you get 12V. Then you wire the 12V in parallel and you will have a big fat battery bank at 12V and you put it on a 12V to 120V inverter.

That way you can charge at only 6V

good man, dont worry about the defense side of things, get a couple of dobermanns, use your ammo as a last resort, if you get really twitchy make some home brew claymores round your perimeter and boobys inside

Can you show a static view of the PVC blades, I assume you cut them to get the proper profile. if so what did you cut them with a lathe?

The motor you are using is a 130vdc motor, probabally in the 5000 to 8000 RPM range. Say 6750 for giggles and grins. This means you get .01925v per RPM. So at 400 RPM you are getting 7.7v. E-bay has some 260v motors rated at 5100 RPM and they are cheap. With this motor at 400 RPM you can be charging at 20.39v. Well over the needed 12v and the battery will self regulate high voltage. And the PVC blades, good carbon fiber blade sets go for around $80. They can break 1500 RPM. Thats 76.47v.
