Faulty Jar Ejector - Mechatronics - KFUPM

Term Project for Mechatronics course. The project simulate one of the stages in factory production line where cans get their content level tested to check whether it is filled properly or not. It is a pneumatic based system.
In The experiment, The Red can is the properly filled one, while the other two are not and that's why they are rejected.

My car spent around 3 weeks at vw workshop. i called them and asked them about the problem and they told me ur mechatronics is not working and it need a new replacement. I was wondering whats its function in the car?
