My question to Noam Chomsky (Heike Philp)
The first confrontation a child has with the written language is when children listen to the stories that their parents read to them. Their mind goes and creates these pictures and this is why the stories you were read as a child, are so vividly still in the brain, the bible stories we used to hear or other children stories.
Q: Would it not benefit many, if we in language learning go back to the old storytelling style as opposed to text based language learning, text based language learning as in the books and dialogues and what is happening these days.

A learning conversation with a great author, professor, teacher or public speaker is the concept of the free of charge Virtual Round Table on Demand program which is conducted by LANCELOT School (www.lancelotschool.com).

LANCELOT School is an innovative, inspiring and sociable teacher training center for language teachers.

Virtual Round Table with Noam Chomsky was sponsored by LearningTimes (www.learningtimes.com) and InstantPresenter.com (www.instantpresenter.com)

  • Got a lot better with this question! Gotta somehow ban typing during these things -- hard to do, I know -- but the tapping is audible. Anyway, well done, and looking forward to future virtual round tables.....
