i think that marriage should never have been heteronormative in the first place.

if the LGBTQ community is rightfully given marriage rights, it will no longer be a heterosexual privelege anyway.

marriage is a union between two PEOPLE. we're all the same. regardless of race, gender, orientation, class, religion or lack thereof. i just wonder how long it's going to take the rest of the world to figure it out...

I think we should be allowed to marry AND straight people should be allowed Civil Partnerships. I think everyone should be able to choose from as many options as possible - whatever their sexuality.

i live in canada where same-sex marriage is legal.

i've found now that we have it, its not a big deal.

ok you know what I am completely against gay marriage.....but I am here to rationalize and barter with you people since I am willing to compremise. lets let gays get married.....go ahead and get married.....but lets do awy with sex changes.....men wearing make-up and trying to impersonate girls....is that fair? f you are secure with yourself why change your sex?

@QueerFAQtor Probably the problem is the term marriage and the classic understanding of marriage. I would suggest that same sex marriage should not be termed "MARRIAGE" but rather a Union celebration.

On the other hand I can see what the Christians fighting for, they are fighting for their rights as well that same sex marriage should not be equated as marriage because God instituted marriage between man and a woman.
