Sadly Brenda Joyce has passed away at a nursing home, on July 4, 2009.

She was a lovely 'Jane', and my favorite.

Between 1918 and 1999 there were at least 21 actresses that played Jane or Jane Porter in the movies and on tv and a couple others female mates but not called Jane. Also 2 on broadway (one a disney musical), 1 on radio, 1 on audio cassette and i'm not sure how many in cartoons.
