Product Review: The Go Bible Voyager

The headphones are offset because you are supposed to wrap the long one around your neck before inserting in your ear. You didn't buy the dramatized version of the recording. That is available for purchase. Apple sells millions of these units a year. They can afford to produce a higher quality device at that price point. Batteries are a feature, not a liability. That is what was advertised. The low quality screen likely contributes to the low cost.

@campusphone The headphones were NOT supposed to be like that. I called cust. svc. and they even said that I got a defective pair. Also, 2 years ago, the dramatized version WAS NOT available. I'm sure the product has improved somewhat since I originally did this, at least I hope it did.

I have to disagree. It is true that it is not real quality made but is is a wonderful tool for listening to the Bible. I have used mine for two years while exercising. I did replace the headphones with my own and I am very careful with it because the construction is poor. The King James Version read by Alexander Scourbey is the only reading with proper emotion and is the only reading I would consider.

@Debra95621 Yes, but you said "the construction is poor" and that the "King James version... is the only reading with the proper emotion." So you do agree with me on some points. There are many other options for listening to the Bible, I just don't recommend this one...

I received mine today and I was not even able to turn it on !!

How sad is this !

I was very surprised how cheep it looks and feel ..

I also thought it would feel and look like my ipod .

I am not going to by another one ..

The headphones are very cheep you can by them for like 2 dollars at wall mart .

@TheBarefoot4life Oh my gosh, so sorry to hear that... yes, it is very cheaply made. I returned mine. I will never buy or recommend that product, EVER!

@MommyReporter Yes they were. Customer Service was wrong. I promise you, that's how they are made. I buy these type specifically because I use them at the gym and because they don't freely hang they stay in much better during physical activity.

Thanks for the post. I was going to buy it for my mother.I saw it on qvc for 89.00. I'm glad people do these things! It does look cheap, and the screen looks like an 80s computer screen. Mybe theirs an honest business to make a nice one. Yeah downloading it on an ipod is best! And I already bought my parents both one!

@MommyReporter well , i wasnt really looking for the quality . i was looking for its features so i can understand the word of God well . well , maybe ill just take care of it and change it s earphones . but nice review . i always want to see people like you , like being honest . you know what i mean . just getting straight to the point :D

Yes the construction is poor. But it is the only thing available of its kind. I treat mine very gently. I wouldn't trade it for anything though. I listen to it when I am at my desk at work, when I walk, when I drive. Alexander Scourby is by far the best reading. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE with you that all the other readers are boring at best. I would just hate for anyone not to consider this purchase. I value mine highly. God bless. Debbie
