I too have always wished Dickey's solo had gone on until he decided to stop playing. He makes that guitar scream!
I ran the idea by my computer science expert son-in-law, wondering if it was possible to make a program that would create what the solo would sound like had they kept the tape machine rolling. He said that would be a tough (*if not impossible*) program to create. Still, the other comment about there must be some tape in their vault with the rest of the solo and song. If only! :)

Outstanding video brother, every time I hear this rendition by the Allmans/Betts time just stops, what a song. Like others said, this should have gone on for another 10 minutes. Check out Jimy Hendrix "Nine to the Universe" for some serious jamming as well. Thanks again for the great video!!
