Aboriginal Youth Media Team: Gathering Our Voices - 2008 BCAAFC Aboriginal Youth Conference

Spiritlink Communications co-ordinated an Aboriginal Youth Media Team "the AYM Team" to attend and report from the 2008Gathering Our Voices Conference in Victoria, BC, Canada. It's an exciting spring break gathering hosted annually by the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres (BCAAFC). This year's theme: sport, recreation and wellness inspired over 900 Aboriginal youth from across BC. AYM Team members learned media literacy skills to host on-camera interviews, take digital photos for a photo journal and write articles and reports about workshops and their experiences. We all learned a wealth of new media skills and captured pics, stories, songs and ideas in this video!
