The MBT LAW - also known as the NLAW - is a man-portable, fire and forget, disposable weapon consisting of an anti-tank missile sealed within a launch tube. The MBT LAW has been designed to counter main battle tanks at short ranges as well as buildings, fortifications and non-armored vehicles. This weapon system is based on proven technologies from the Bill 2 anti-tank missile and AT4 CS lightweight anti-tank weapon. Like the AT4 CS, the MBT LAW weapon can be handled by a single soldier and launched from confined spaces making it highly suitable for urban warfare.

  • These are not propaganda weapons, these are real proper anti-tank weapons. Sweden are good at makeing cheap reliable systems for destruction so show respect. By the way Russian armor will melt like wax against this weapon.

  • :P its good that Finland bought those

  • @GoHooah922 No. MBT-LAW is more like FGM-172 SRAW but with more power. AT4 = unguided 84mm grenade. MBT-LAW = 150mm fire and forget missile

  • @onlypeaceindeath The best way to tell that this isn't propaganda is to look who made the video, it was bofors which is a company. It wasn't made by the state. It is a commersial to show the world their products so that they can sell them...

  • If you come to Sweden in amour - prepare to die... mouhahahahaha...

  • SOOOOOO... basically its a better version of the AT 4

  • @Dirkan1234 Sure an RPG will not destroy a tank, but the unmobilized M1 in Iraq were hitted by old warheads, what can do new russian warhead against the weak parts of a tank, of course a guide system is better than a lucky shot

  • @Dirkan1234 So you would waste a fire and forget expensive system when you cant fire and forget in a city so you use a system like RPG or AT4, you cannot destroy a tank with it but you can have 8 persons in diferent buildings with it. Doesnt care in a city if you have a weapon that can shoot at 600m, if you cant see it at 300m, if you can see an enemy at 600m use a javelyn, call an airsuport cause a tank can see you with a termal camera and hit you at 4000m

  • @Dirkan1234 Confined space mean that you can shoot inside of a building, but the "fire and forget" is useless with walls and buildings blocking the way. So the RPG result cheaper and efective

  • @Dirkan1234 If you are attacked by M1 abrams, you are fighting a defensive war, in a defensive war is better means more, if you could have more of the better that would be awesome but not reliable.

Also this launcher looks usefull for an open field, I dont imagine this weapon in a city

  • @Dirkan1234 Is needed to destroy a tank? Stop a tank can be done with an RPG, and maybe neutralize the main turret with RPG, if the crew is alive someone will have to rescue them, and thats a delay for the enemy if you destroy a tank with it, and kill the crew at the same time the enemy will ignore that tank and will keep forward. So more delay with a cheap weapon, but this modern weapons maybe are more scary
