This is me testing out how wide the camera is when filming and when you soon in at 5X how well it looks with it.

The main things I like compared to the canon s95 is that no matter what setting you have your camera at you can always start recording a video bc there is now a button at the back that lets you push to record a movie this can be pressed at any time and any setting. Also it will auto focus while you are recording now so instead of having to preset the focus and film if your off focus you would always have a blurry shot but with the new canon s100 it will correct its focus.

I also have a new 3D channel which is here

  • Very slow to zoom :/

  • @simon44 only slow when recording

  • i vlog but i also do sketches do you think this camera would be nice for comedy sketches?

  • @TheLaughGangHomies I believe so, you won't have the other options you would of using a dslr but I don't see why it wouldn't work for most of them. I would recommend you using a boom mic though.

  • I heard a noise while refocusing, but no noise while zooming.

  • @IFoundMyUsername there is a slight noise for both actually but when your outside you don't hear it in the video at least from what I have noticed

  • @TheLaughGangHomies thanks!

  • @jnizzelest Thank you

  • @singingal I took photos at night with both cameras I can say for night the s100 is slightly better but for the day shots they look the same. The s95 takes great night shots as well but you can see a slight difference. if you are just looking to take photos the s95 will be just fine, they both shoot in raw but the update for the s100 is not out yet. If price is your concern you won't be disappointed in getting the s95. I hope this helps Alan

  • Hi, I was wondering how the quality of still images compares on the S100 compared to the S95. I like the idea of a greater optical zoom, full hd video and being able to zoom while filming, but I can't find any comparisons of image quality between the S95 and S100. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated and help me to decide whether to buy the S100 or the cheaper S95. Many thanks, Alan
