This program tries very hard to humiliate the chinese with its subtle and hypocritical tone. It is very British.
The crew tried hard to use the camera to make Paul Merton's superiority tone sound justifiable. All the smiles and genuinely friendly chinese people appeared on camera made him look stupid and quite ignorant.

I think I wouldn't mind having dog. I'd try it only once though. people keep pigs as pets yet I'll happily eat bacon and pork. so it might be the same sort of concept. but I understand why people think it's wrong
