  • They just don't make beautiful movies like these anymore. From 1937-2000 were the best years in cinema history, in my opinion.

  • @Sahar736 Beautiful and in the same subject is Prince of Persia

What Sahar means is overly cliched drama fest, and action cliche movies. For example when saw came out no one had done something like that before. BUUT then EVERYONE started to do it and thusly the movie lost its impact. The more you use a 'theme' to a movie the less impact to its viewers.

Like for example Scream as well. That movie set the ground for a hundred other movies. A LOT of older movies are actually innovating, FOR THE TIME. Because it HAD NOT BEEN DONE BEFORE.

  • @Songsmirth Even they can be good, but they have to have a core of SOMETHING to them. My dad loves the Popeye movie, but it had to go OVERSEAS to make money! Nothing wrong with it at all. See the movie Sweet Liberty. If you want.

  • @Sahar736 But unless you are like the people who think the world is going to end, why will cinema and movie-making not recover? Unless you think they are doomed. I have seen beautiful movies coming out last YEAR, and bad ones made in 1940. What IS beautiful? To you, that is. No pressure on you to respond, unless you want to.

  • @Sahar736 Except for 1938/39. The Wizzad of Oz", "Gone with the Wind." Many more others as you've said. Just on the side, my favorite movie of all time is a low budget one done here in Montana, called, "Amazing Grace and Chuck." One of those, "good feeling movies" where a young boy takes a stand on his morals. Other than that, I think the BBC puts out the best. Period pieces and all. I'm tired of Hollywood junk. Sensational sex bits and tons of blowing up things. lol

  • @kellymind1993

    I agree.

  • @goldust8

    me too LOL

  • @goldust8 you heard right

  • @TheRaenef09 I appreciate the response. By the way, I'm quite the writer of historical stories similar to this one. If you have any questions, respond back to me so I can satisfy your curiosity.

  • @Sahar736 I completely agree
