Europe with almost 10% literacy rate in 19th century can achieve 98% literacy but India with present 75% literacy could not have 98% literacy in 19th century? After using proper logic, I don't believe him. If he would have mentioned the education scenario about 1000 years ago, I would have believed him in, but as he is mentioning this just 170 years old, I think he is telling lie. Maybe we were quite okay in economic point of view that we were not having any beggers, but i don't believe that India was almost 90 to 100% educated. Because in this period womens and lower caste were kept outside of education, so howcome education rate was near 100%?

Every invention is based on the core scientific principals and mathematics, a whole history of observations/data. As a person of deep interest in science & history, it a well known fact to me that most (if not all) core scientific and mathematical data have come from our stable. Puting ideas to life requires millions of dollars, had our national treasure not been looted by the west things wud be much different. Understanding the glory of past will usher us into a confident future ! cheers.

The BOTTOMLINE is that the British ruled India EVEN IF Indians had all this great heritage. If we had all this knowledge, what did we do with it? It couldn't save us from slavery.
