This is an honest question, is there a proper technique for slapping I heard some say always slap going down and other say always slap going back up?

@263Tanaka People "like" to call it proper, but really it is just a "different" way to slap. Vic Wooten uses that method, Flea uses the same as mine. To each his own- whatever is comfortable for you and gives you the BEST SOUND- is what you should do.

@CarolFestu  I have been in several bands and I am in 2 bands now. I play in A PAINTED OCEAN (an original band) and also FEW AND FAR BETWEEN (an original band with SteveCash83 virtual band). I can also be seen on Youtube in VirtuallyRush, and The Clipbandits.

@aaa567ify Thanks a bunch :D I made this video back when there weren't too many videos on Youtube and it was just to show people how to play something I made another video of. I am definitely not good at teaching and I just did this on the fly.

@aaa567ify Hmmm- no, sometimes the slaps are on fretted strings, but in general, the slaps are the lower notes and the plucks are the higher ones. Thanks for asking :D
