Uh, that's not how the key of C works. Right hand thumb on C, left hand thumb on G (so your pinky is on C)

Well played. When I took piano lessons and actually even before I did I knew how to play this song but it was just the E,D,and C on the right hand. it was the only song I knew how to play on the piano at the time. then I took piano lessons and I learned new songs.
