  • I'm 25 and I've had some high readings in the doctors office (140/90)ish. So I definitely have this.

However at home when I'm at rest I have readings around 115/60.

  • If I'm running from a tiger, it's expected that my blood pressure be extremely high as I'm running for my life. That says nothing about my blood pressure when I'm relaxed.

If I have the same kind of fearful reaction in the doctor's office, but not at home, then why am I at a higher risk of developing high blood pressure? How is it different from the tiger situation?

  • I have this also. can be 145-152 systolic at dr's office and 110-120 at home. just the anticipation of the reading makes me a nervous wrech and my heart starts pounding too

  • I have just a slight bit of this. My readings aren't sky high at the dr but there up. When I'm at home by myself my readings are great. So for me I'm just afraid of the number

  • It's true I'm not stressed in the mornings but on days running around, like when I have a dr's appt.. my day can get stressful and I'm really agitated. after watching this video I think if I slow it down a bit I'll feel better and less dizzy.

  • I only get a high reading when I expect it...when I take it at home it's usually 150/90 but when a doc or pharmacist takes it unexpectedly it's usually in the 120/78 range

  • psychological problem?
