I think this song is saying that I will still love you even though we're apart.

Also I think its about a guy at a party who got together with this girl that he has had some feelings for. This girl was already with somebody at the time, but they got drunk and slept together. He wakes up in the morning next to her and admits to knowing she has someone else, but he is admitting to her how he feels and wants her to compare the two of them becaus he knows he can be better for this girl.

ok so i had this crush on this guy that i had met at camp this past Feb i met his best friend who liked me. then he asked me out. i was skeptical of my answer but i said yes. hes kinda ugly btw and there were times when he was mean to me but i shurged it off. then at this year at camp i found out that he had done something behind my back an lied to me about it. then after i broke up with him i was really upset. me and that guy at the beginning that i mentioned this song happened. im so glad
