This three story Richardsonian Romanesque building is the site of one of Athens most popular music clubs: Tasty World. Built in the 1880s, the building originally served as the home for the Athens Opera House, then from 1942 to 1996 as the retail space for Athens Refrigeration, and then in 1997 the building reopened as Tasty World Bar and Music Club. Many of Athens newest and hottest groups, like The Whigs and The Modern Skirts, have played the stage here as well as many famous national acts. Make sure as you walk inside to note the historic façade, which features one of the best examples of Richardsonian architecture in Athens, highlighted by its terra cotta mouldings on the Jackson Street side.
Looks like the windows need some work.
