  • is the loss in balistics really worth shortening the barrel for easy concealing and handeling the weapon.

  • If its used what it is designed for, the loss in ballistics won't matter. Imagine yourself SWAT or military screening a building, would you rather have a 20" barrel with great ballistics or a 6" with less? I think at that range you wouldn't notice a difference.

  • Well, if U had a barrel on it, then the flash wouldn't be that much of a problem, LOL I could see the 14.5inch on the M4, but less than that just takes a good thing and gays it up!

  • Have you ever had to haul a rifle over long distances, crawl with one, or many other scenarios? Try the military or law enforcement, thats what this rifle is made for. So if you want to call it gay, go talk to any law enforcmement officer or military personnel and ask them if its gay or not.

  • @hypercruiser2003 way better than an mp5. Stronger, shorter and more practical, as you can do tactical reloads much more efficiently with a firing hand operated magazine catch than with a thumb catch.

  • ... for when you deem it necessary to ignite the perp in addition to turning him into a 30 round pin cushion...

  • true. just asking cuz ive been depating between on sbring a rifle. so another question if you register a lower as a sbr and you decide one day to put a full lenght upper on it is it illegal cuz its registered as a sbr.

  • Accuracy is affected by shorter barrels, but a shorter barrel of the same contour of a thick one is going to be capable of shooting better groups at close ranges. It's because as you make barrel longer, you make it more flexible, and as it becomes more flexible, it's going to move more when fired. However, SBRs will lose sight radius, and if you're using irons, it may cause an increase in shooter error.

Look at guys shooting one hole groups with their T/C pistols and say short barrels suck.

  • that is a huge difference in muzzle flash.

  • big fan of the sundevil receivers just sold my gen 2 to buy a gen 3. I wont buy any other brand

  • I was in the army (3rd i.d. & 425th c.a.) and I can vouch for that barrel, clearing a room with a 14.5" or even 16" is a pain in rear, your not looking to pick some on off down the street just accross the room.

  • well unless you are going with a bull barrel, fluted or free floating short barrel to lessen harmonics.
