I have an 86 Jimmy that i just finished an engine swap in, and now want something else to do with it. I was thinking out putting it on air ride and chopping it, my only thought is what did you do with the molded plastic interior panels? and where did you take the 6 inches out of it? did you have to section the roof to get the A post to fit right?

The interior panels were just cut with a jigsaw to fit. The 6 inches was all taken out of the windows about 2 inches from the top of the window and down. We did have to section the roof to fit back on, it got about 6 inches wider and 4, or so, longer after the roof was brought down. The hardest part was getting a windshield, in the end we got one water jet cut to fit.

It's the original engine, still running strong with nearly 300k kilometers on it.
We're in the Ottawa area, and my dad is asking $8,000 for it.

Damn man that is nice how long did it take you and your dad to complete the project.

6 years of on and off work, but if we buckled down and worked every weekend, then maybe only 1.5 - 2 years of work.
