A Prayer for Peace

The words of the new peace anthem "A Prayer for Peace" were written on the basis of the verse in the book of Isaiah and our prayers for better days, in which Nation Shall Not Lift Up Sword Against Nation, Neither Shall They Learn War Any More.

The poem was set to music by Doron B. Levinson, an Israeli war veteran, in memory of three of his comrades who fell in the battle field.

The song was dedicated to the memory of all those who fell in wars, and to the victims of terror and hostile acts.

The lyrics were written by Hamutal Ben Zeev-Efron.

Some of Israels leading performers, including, among others, Ilanit, Harel Moyal, Leah Shabbat, Eli Luzon, Si Himan and Momi Levy, accompanied by the New Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Li-Ron Herzeliya Children's Choir and the Hakol Zorem Choir, recorded the song and the video clip on a volunteer basis in order to express our unity and our honest desire for true peace in the world.

The arrangement is by Eldad Shrim, who also served as musical producer and conducted the New Haifa Symphony Orchestra for this project.

The song and video clip were produced by Doron B. Levinson.

Choirs and performers from all over the world are invited to sing the song and to spread the sound of hope and peace in the world, as well as kindly requested to send recordings and video clips performing the song.

Quality recordings will be included in an international video clip which will be produced for humanitarian causes.
