"Vintage Star Wars Weekly" is a video show that focuses on vintage Star Wars toys. A new episode is released on youtube every Monday. The main hosts of the show are Darth Beer and Admiral Wetbar. The show also features weekly segments from Princess Midori and Sebastian DiNapoli. There is a different vintage figure featured on the show every week, with video of variant figures and commentary being provided by Sebastian. Princess Midori reads viewer emails in her weekly segment, and she also hosts a monthly vintage figure give-away contest that is open to anybody who would like to enter.

Episode #24 - October 20, 2008:
This week we watch more footage from the Roper Mountain Science Center, as they have their Star Wars Weekend.

Also this week, we have our very first viewer question of the week, and Darth Beer talks about meeting a viewer right in his town!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTERING THE VINTAGE FIGURE GIVE-AWAY CONTESTS:
The give-away contests will start on the first Monday of every month, and the winner will be announced by Princess Midori on the last Monday of every month.

On the first Monday of every month, Princess Midori will show you the give-away figure in her segment of the show and she will tell you the name of that figure.

If you want to enter the drawing to win the figure, all you have to do is send her an email. Her email address is: vswwmidori@yahoo.com

The SUBJECT LINE of your contest entry email MUST contain the name of the figure she is giving away. For instance, if she is giving away a Darth Vader figure that month, then the SUBJECT LINE of your email should read: "Darth Vader contest".

The BODY of your contest entry email should contain your NAME and and the SHIPPING ADDRESS that you would like the figure sent to if you win.
If you don't give her your shipping address, then you WILL NOT be entered into the contest.

After you have entered the contest, be SURE to watch the last show of the month, because that will be the episode where Princess Midori announces the winner. You will NOT get an email telling you that you are the winner. You have to watch the show to see who the winner is.

If Princess Midori announces you as the winner of that months contest, you will have 7 days to email her again, from the SAME email address you used to enter the contest. The SUBJECT of this email should be "I won!".

The BODY of this email should again, contain the mailing address that you would like the figure shipped to.

If you do not email her within 7 days of winning the contest, then you will be disqualified and the figure will be offered again in a future contest.

You don't have to subscribe to this youtube channel to enter the monthly contests, but it is a VERY good idea to subscribe, so you don't miss any episodes of the show.

YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THE CONTEST ONCE EACH MONTH! If you try to enter more than once in the same month, you will NOT be entered into the drawing.

  • I dont know if any of you guys noticed it, but the first crystal display case shown in the video appears to have been tampered with. It appears as if someone shook the display. You can see the poster hanging from a side, and the laser gun together with a lunchbox out of position.

  • Gingymann,

Yeah, actually I did that right before I turned the camera on.

I was trying to get that stuff out of the case and take it with me! LOL

Just kidding! But I did notice that the stuff had fallen over.

  • Man, Admiral Wetbar in another public fight? Somebody needs to teach him that anger only leads to the Dark Side. And jail, I guess.

Love the video footage from the Science Center. Those carded POTF figures are awesome! Were you itching to break the glass and run off with them?

Q of the Week: Like Darth Beer, I have enough other interests that help me fit in with others. Luckily, I have a bunch of friends who are hardcore SW fans which allows me to "nerd out" on a regular basis.

  • ZilchZone,

Yes, it looks like we may need to have an intervention for Admiral Wetbar if he keeps fighting people in parking lots everywhere he goes. LOL!

And yes, those POTF figures were one of my favorite displays from the entire day. I would LOVE to have those things!

    -Darth Beer

  • great show. I don't have a problem at all interacting with people who don't like starwars as much as me. Actually I don't know many people who don't like it, come to think of it. I also have seen a few posts here stating that some people face ridicule for their passion for starwars. Keep your head up high, and keep collecting while it's up. Odds are, you probably don't like some of the things they do. So they are the nerds ha! there, I said it.lol keep em coming

  • dedrace,

    Very well put!

  • i also think that its easy to fit in with non-starwars fans.....but i hate people who totally hate starwars....i mean whats there not 2 like abt it

  • Hey Darth, great show again. Was wondering if you could do a show on how to spot faked moc's. seen a few on ebay, and it would be nice to see a tutorial on how to spot recard/faked cards. I don't have a problem with recards, but i think it would help a lot of people who are new to the sport. thanks for the show again.

  • noa got a lightsaber? man thats really cool

when i was a kid i use to think that my grandfather did jabbas voice for some reason..

cool event u got into :) really cool figs :)

answer of the week: not really that hard, its not like i have a java taped to my head

  • For a moment, I started to think that Admiral Wetbar might be responsible or at least charged for it. That kind of violent conduct goes with the Admiral. hahahaha. Hope he gets out of prison for next video.
