custom made bldc motor driver with sensor and svpwm sinusoidal commutation
this whole setup renders the bldc motor to behave just like an ordinary dc motor
but with an extreme high efficiency and high power and high torque
this setup is used one hacker a60 motor with 20x12 propeller and 6 cell lipo
pack, some rpm and current measurements:

775rpm 0.4amp
1422rpm 1.137amp
2011rpm 3.27amp
2500rpm 6.08amp
2812rpm 9.3amp
3076rpm 12.4amp
3272rpm 15.5amp
3461rpm 20amp

(the battery voltage was around 23.3v - 25.1v)

  • Very interesting. What MCU are you using? Is it a pure sine, or modified to reflect motor's BEMF?

    Is it sensorless? If so, how do you detect motor's phase while all three phases are in use?
