In this video, Maajid Al-Kush (BJJ Black Belt under Jacare Cavalcanti) shows us some options for when you have shot for a double leg takedown and your opponent has sprawled out on you.

  • I like how you mixed up your vids with some learning. Fun watching the growth.

  • @ShinkaTV Thanks for the feedback.

I think it's very important to remember that there's always people out there that are better or that know more. In my case, I'm fortunate to have a lot of people around me that are top-knotch guys. I thought they should get some credit as well.

These recent videos were filmed at GFC Martial Arts in Loganville, Georgia. I strongly suggest anyone in the area check them out.

Their website is GFCMartialArts (d0t) c0m

  • Looks like you could set that right up into the d'arce/anaconda depending on were you end up...

  • @TheScamr You certainly can. Remember- position before submission, but if you end up there; you can certainly chain them together.

  • Seriously, "mat finishes" is the most under-taught area of grappling, imho. Good to see some focus on them.

  • :41 "look at my hands so i can shoot" hahaha

  • what about when you sit out just keep your head heavy on him, keep ahold of the wrist and finish with an omoplata?

  • @ATACXGYM Thanks for the kind words! I always appreciate the feedback.

    Keep rolling!

  • That's SLICK!

  • @TechniquePrevails civicturbolive said much of my own thoughts regarding the compliments I wanted to toss you and Maajid. You guys are utterly amazing, with real techniques that are translatable to any martial artist,if they genuinely want to diversify their game.I've seen this sprawl option with wrestlers but not with the attention to detail and step by step break down and most importantly not with the drill shown to develop skill in execution.Thanx mayne!

  • @davidmooreltc Well Hello, David Moore.

"Advertising?" I certainly still claim that I have a black belt in jiu-jitsu. But not BRAZILIAN Jiu-Jitsu (which is the "B" in BJJ"- and which was specified in his question).

Good to hear from you, hope everything is going well.
