Dear QuantumMaths,

Your words revealed that you are offended or upset with my comments and I want to apologize if my poor reasoning offends you. I know very little about evolution and quantum mechanics and with this statement I joined the rest of the sensible world. Please reply if you are still interested in hearing how I think quantum physics might be able to explain our existence. You might be able to help me put this together.

I would be very interested to hear what you have to say about quantum mechanics demonstrating the mechanisms of evolution (which you seem to have a poor understanding of judging from your previous posts; and you also have a horrid confusion of the relationship between theory and fact is). By bet is that you pulled the last sentence not from any sound material, but right out of your ass as a way to give an unverifiable assertion as a final word.

It's easy to polarize this argument between religious and non religious perspectives, however in this way the truth could be missed. I feel that they theory can be scrutinized scientifically with no need for religious assumptions. I also criticized the religious assumptions that aim to explain our existence. Evolution is definitely a possibility but at this time I do not believe that the method proposed is sound. New findings in the field of quantum physics might prove the theory obsolete.

The scientific method requires replication in order to change a theory to a fact. The core assumption in the theory refers to natural selection through favorable mutations. Are you aware of any research that has been able to replicate the core assumption in the theory of evolution? If you have this information, please share it with the world and send it to the people at Encyclopedia Americana so they can update their material. In the mean time evolution remains a theory and not a fact.

After being the unlikely candidate of a favorable mutation (1000000 to one) you would have to pass it on. At this point the normal partner (and not the freak) will determine the outcome. This fact is also scientifically verifiable. Hence the Encyclopedia Americana Acknowledges; "The fact that most mutations are damaging to to the organisms seems hard to reconcile with the view that mutations are the raw material for evolution".
