At first you buy 7 flat cakes for fruits and the other things like candy, colors etc. Then draw big letters on paper (or try to print it out). Now you know the size of the wooden foilcovered board you need under the name letters. Then fix some tacks with tape on the board, otherwise you can´t move the lettercake later,- sure you can, but only to the floor. When the letters are cut out like on the photos, then you can decorate them with the colored cream and fill all with jelly fruits, i bought that too, in a cup and ready to eat. Inside the round candy decorated cake i put a square banana-cake (yes, bought in a shop) to make it higher. All the color cream you don´t need for the letter cake you can put on the candy cake, that was the idea why i made this second and very colorful princess candy cake. It tooks hours and hours to mix the colors, to cut out the cake letters and decorate all but maybe you find a way to make it faster than me. It was the birthday cake for my mom Nydia, this year for her 64. birthday on 06. October 2010. Maybe you like the cakes, in my other video -birthday cake part 2- (the two cakes in HD quality) you can see how i transport this big and tender cakes and a box with gifts in my car on the highway to my moms house.
