  • excellent job with trying to squeeze this topic into 5min! out founding fathers understood the relationship between currency and trust and value. this is why our money has-"in God we trust" written on it. give that a moment of thought and then consider where our country is headed. we have been purposefully drifting away from both God and the principles of government/economics that our founding fathers gave us. that's just my opinion- i could be wrong

  • Actually, the dollar is at the forefront of currency today. Every major economy is trying to devalue their currency. Its terrible for consumers, but, wonderful for labor. That's the embedded paradox. It wasn't very long ago that independent banks issued their own "money". These were merely deposit receipts of the gold you held with them. Regardless. If we do create a new currency you always get back to how to regulate fractional reserve lending in a growing economy.
