  • will they die in freshwater? laso is it much harder to keep brackish compared to fresh? please reply

  • @FishMan329 Tire Track eels do NOT need to be kept in brackish water. They will live and thrive in a fully freshwater environment. I have had this eel for almost 6 years and he has never been sick, never had anything wrong with him, and eats like a hoss! :)

  • Tire Track Eels should not be kept in brackish you are killing its life span by a bunch of years.

  • That was like 2 years ago, and he's doing great. It didn't really have much salt in it. Within acceptable levels for the eel.

  • @Sentinel138 WRONG. Do a little research. They thrive in freshwater or slightly brackish water. They will not do well in a fully brackish environment.

  • I have one puffer, but should I probibally have more??

  • Yeah, depending on your tank size. If you have under like 30 gallons, one or two is probably okay. They like to ahve company though.
