We're singing Fauré's Requiem in my school choir at the moment and I've just fallen in love with this wonderous work!! It's so beautifully exquisite, optimistic and kind of minimalistic (a nice variation from all the horrifying, raging - still wonderful - requiems other composers have left us).
Lyrics:
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion, et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem. Exaudi orationem meam. Ad te omnis caro veniet Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison.

@Crazycoverist No, they are using French Latin. I would be very careful before accusing someone like Jeremy Summerly of teaching such a well-known and respected choir "wrong pronunciation".

Crazycoverist, I very much agree. The mispronunciation really does make me find another clip immediately.

i'm sorry to say that, there's a wonderful musical work here, despite that, wrong pronunciation of the latin, a very prominent mistake here is the "luceat".
it could be a beautiful recording, but for me as one who already sang the requiem, these are very noticeable mistakes..
