That wouldn't stop me. I own dvds that are in Japanese with no subtitles at all. I still get them and I love them! Same goes with Manga.

The shop is called コミックショック! (Comic Shock!). It has a red and white sign. and a boy reading a manga on the sign and store front.
It is on the right hand side of Rout 115, heading south from Kyoto's central train station.

Manga is dirt cheep in Japan. That set of 10 would probably only set you back about 1500yen in that store. Or about $15. I found it on a Japanese Yahoo auction site. Maybe you should check that out.
