It's great for a hybrid car even the oil is at or near US$100.00/BBL, like it was just did on 2008 January 2.

In the future, transportation will be built on city planning. Two American examples of this would be Los Angeles and New York. Even though New York has over twice the population in a denser location, people are still able to move around much more easily because of the subway system. Los Angeles on the other hand, still relies on archaic super-highways creating mass congestion and therefore more emissions caused by vehicles idling pointlessly. The 20th century is about moving people, not cars.

I like the idea of hybrid vehicles also but I dont see this exact setup to become the norm. Sure its great from a technological and environmental perspective however its simply a stepping stone on whats to come. I truly believe that hydrogen power is the future and that technology goes much further than just automobiles. Of course Honda is already a pioneer in hydrogen technology as the FCX Clarity is simply genius!

I really like the idea of a hybrid, because it's so efficent and good for our environment. And I do think it will replace more and more of the older cars, it could possibly take over, but we'll just see how it goes!

It's already beginning to happen, I see Hybrid cars here and there, mostly in neighbourhoods with lots of trees.
