Natural disasters have always happened throughout the history of the earth, they havent just suddenly started happening. Nor have wars, famine, riots, plagues, etc, these problems have afflicted humankind for thousands of years. In fact, wars etc are becoming a lot less frequent, if you look at statistics, the world in general is slowly becoming a more stable and peaceful place in terms of human violence and poverty etc.

So basically, what this video is trying to say, is give the church your money and believe in god even though he will never show his appearance or contact you audibly. "Trust us guys, he exists, give us your money"

Its true, indoctrination is a factor. However, I was extremely indoctrinated. I come from a very religious family. I went to church every Sunday, went to Catholic school through high school, was baptized, and confirmed, etc. I am now an atheist. So, I think that we have the ability to undo indoctrination. I think intelligence may play a factor too. Have you ever seen those polls that show that as level of education increases, the believe in god decreases? Google it, it may surprise you.

I have a sincere answer: Believing what was hammered into your head since birth is not stupidity, it is indoctrination. Trance logic has nothing to do with intelligence.

My asking questions is not to try to learn more about christianity, they were rhetorical. Also I am NOT longing to know god, he's as real to me as santa claus is to both of us.

But I digress, you say you know god played a role because he also did in the past. Fine, then answer me this. What makes you so sure that god caused it all in the past as well?
