God bless Nye Bevan. Without his inspiration the NHS would not exist and if that was the case I probably would not be here to write this! The cancer treatment I received 8 years ago was superb. Thank you Mr Bevan!

Labour were the guardians of the NHS, but in the last 10 years or so they've undermined some of its core principles, most notably its public status. There is a growing trend toward the involvement of private services and practices and this is undermining quality of care for patients and undermining the core principles of the NHS.
