@iancmcintyre Wow what a powerful argument

@liltuitoga Exactly what I was thinking. Why would she only black out her eyes where most people could still recognize her. This is definitely fake.
-
You would never get kicked out for being an atheist. Lol. This is fake.

@mjr923923 Romans 3:20 only re-enforces my point, genius. Your understanding of the passage is way off. Read the final part of the verse, i.e. "for by the law is the knowledge of sin". In other words, we cannot be justified by God if we do not keep his commandments, it's very clear. I don't recall ever saying I get to decide who enters God's kingdom, but the word of God is very clear that only the righteous do.

@101mythbuster Who are you to say who belongs in Gods Kingdom? Please quote me a scripture where it speaks about you being able to decide who belongs and who doesn't? Or is that something that will be in "Volume 2" of the Book of Mormon....
To void your original point: Romans 3:20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
"No interest in being governed by priesthood">hmmm...good thing God has interest

Atheists are welcome at BYU as long as they keep the honor code. I've been a member all my life and never felt oppressed by the LDS church leadership.
-
To all of you that have critersized about us lately ... Who do you think you are? What are you scared of! The fact is we are normal people living our lives, get over the way we live... Take William Hopoate, A massive example to all the Australian Youth. He plays in the Manly Team for Rugby in Australia and he is like any one else... Don't criticize until you know by actually GOING about the church - all made up
-
@101mythbuster you're an idiot fuck cunt
Mormons who have no respect for general authorities have no interest in being governed by the priesthood, and consequently have no part in God's kingdom which is a house of order and laws.

Did the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints know that members are "leaving in droves?" a woman asked.
"We are aware," said Jensen, according to a tape recording of his unscripted remarks. "And I'm speaking of the 15 men that are above me in the hierarchy of the church. They really do know and they really care," he said.

This person is full of it. There are students at BYU and every other Church school who aren't Mormon and they can still attend class and graduate. There are even people who are gay and in good standing at the university.
All you have to do is take one religion class a semester and live the honor code standards. You can still believe differently and be open about it at BYU as long as you live by those standards.

@Disneysongsr
LDS BYU students who come to realize the church isn't true are in a different situation due to the "ecclesiastical endorsement" requirement.
