The other uploader isn't available any more, probably down to bugs. It *might* not have encoded it in high-def because I saved it with a framerate of 15, which is the framerate of the original source. Setting it at 30FPS would have been inefficient, but it seems as though it's required for a video to be classed as "high quality".
As for the duck, I must have not saved my changes or something :S sorry 'bout that.

Yeah I'm not really sure :S I will tell you - when I started uploading, it immediately used the alternate uploader that has no progress bar, for unknown reasons. Maybe the high-def option requires something in that? And why wasn't it used @_@ oh and btw your final edit didn't include the duck photo :P
