This list is based on several factors, these include in no particular order;
1. Quality Of Equipment
2. Number Of Troops/Ships/Vehicles
3. Size of Economy (Ability to Re-produce equipment)
4. Population (Ability to replace lost troops)
5. Recent Military Experience
6. Ability to Project Power
7. Historical Military Performance
8. Strategic Location in Europe
9. Number & Quality of Allies
10. Ability to produce equipment yourself (Italy & Spain rely heavily on other nations)
You may not agree with the order in which these nations are listed, but they are researched, if you have any other suggestions then please leave a comment. For each nation on the list there is a picture of an Infantry Soldier, the countries MBT (main battle tank), the countries main IFV, and the countries Air Craft Carrier (if they posess one)
@eikkkN HAHA you really think you can reconfigure all the combat suite so easily to put naval cruise missile? you have to put expensive warfare system that RAN can not afford. Your aircraft carriers are not sailing overseas so I won't go away.

@CharlesDilkes Tornado on QE class? let me laugh... First you have to strengthen all the airframe wich mean a new manufacturing of the aircraft whereas the production line is closed. T45 havn't the VLS cell to carry naval cruise missile, and stop that fucking joke, T45 are not the best destroyers of the world. In the future UK will have about 110 Typhoon and 50 F35... sorry but you need more to be a real power.

@CharlesDilkes What? The Queen Elizabeth Class carrier isn't even in service! Wow, is that your best excuse?
And the RAF Tornadoes have no arrestor hooks for carrier operations. You are just lying now.
And the Type 42 destroyer is out of date, and they only have 7 attack submarines.
And the Type 45 only has 48 VLS and is designed specifically for air defense. A single Arleigh Burke can do the job of 2 Type 45's.

Spain 5, fair enough
Italy 4, yep
germany 3, ok
france 2, yes
Britain 1, exactly. Why all the dislikes? please refer to any of britain's conflicts since malaya for confirmation.

@franknbeans4761 Frank, you talk such bollocks. The Queen Elizabeth class is compatible with RAF Tornado's plus with have missile destroyers (Type 45 Destroyers) - these can be equipped with Tomahawk missiles for ground attack. You're talking absolute bull.
And 'few modern ships'? We have the most advanced destroyer on the planet - what on earth are you talking about? Britain still, arguably, has perhaps the worlds fourth or fifth most effective navy.

@eikkkN They would be able to survive for a war though. Any spare parts or maintenance facilities they have on hand will be enough for a certain period of time.

@franknbeans4761 Boeing still provide them with spares, every country that buy from the US have to deal with it... look in Saudi Arabia for example.

@Perkii6 Britain lacks viable land attack ships though. All their carrier planes have been retired, they have limited amounts of Tomahawks, and even fewer amounts of modern ships. I am not saying either country could take the other, because I know Britain isn't capable of sinking all of Turkey's diesel subs, frigates, corvettes, and guided missile boats; and thus couldn't break through that & get Turkey. And Turkey couldn't sufficiently attack Britain. But in a straight comparison Turkey wins.

@GreekRoyalArmy And do you think Greece would of had the ability to go on the offensive outside of their own country then and win?
