http://www.deepdishtv.org This is a clip of the episode "Erasing Memory" from the series "Shocking and Awful" shows the horrendous destruction of the museums and archives of Iraq, the oldest treasures of human civilization, in the wake of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Millennia of history were bombed, looted and destroyed, and with them the memory and culture of Iraq

"Shocking and awful" is the way many people view the current situation in Iraq and the United States. The war continues to take its toll on Iraqi civilians, international aid workers, journalists and U.S. troops. Here at home we are seeing how waging a "perpetual war" is affecting our own lives as well.

Deep Dish TV has collected and produced thirteen programs about the war and the occupation, which are being distributed to communities all over the United States on Free Speech TV and on community access channels. These programs address the implications and consequences of this country's recent military actions. The series also shows how people are mobilizing through art, actions, and international law.

  • USA ARE EVIL.

  • like the woman says, "this is Iraq, not just one man (Saddam)" and she is correct. this was a crime against all of humanity and the history of mankind.

America is supposed to be better than that.

  • You know a building can actually get damaged if a bomb falls anywere within a couple hundred yards. Doesn't take any evil-doers, just a couple hundred pounds of explosives being dropped from high altitudes. Same goes for fires. Precision bombing isn't that precise...

  • isn't that strange. It would only make sense if any "EVIL DOERS" were in there, like in WWII where some soldiers hid or barricaded in museums, though it was against the code of war to bombard museums. thanx for the post though.
