Video: The rescue of two crewmembers from a fishing vessel on fire 10 miles off the coast of Long Beach, Wash., by the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Active and aircrew from Air Station Astoria, Ore.
Transcript:
AST1 Michael Spencer: Their vessel was on fire and they were abandoning ship. The helicopter was launched. When we arrived on-scene, two people were on an inverted raft. At the time a 210-foot cutter, the Coast Guard Cutter Active, was nearby. We stood off and began to record the recovery of the two survivors and the fishing vessel as it was burning.
