Do you have the "Se l'inganno sortisce felice" of this production. I'm sure it's as good as this!

Magistrale! Bravo Robson, che voce adatta per il ruolo di Polinesso!

I remember seeing this production at the ENO. It was the first opera I had ever seen and I can still recall the frisson of listening to and watching Christopher Robson. The man had such a huge stage presence. I have heard and loved many countertenors since but none have excited me the way he did in this production.

@jokembach thats my dad bitch

Robson never fails to completely captivate me. His voice is unconventionally GORGEOUS, and his acting is incredibly drawing.

Robson had a devlish colour in his voice!
Totaly diffrent then La Podles, but in the same rendition.
Isnt Lesley Garrett pretty?
A underrated singer.

It is unfortunate that, now come the later parts of his career, the roles he interprets all end up being interpretted into rather disgusting characters,
How wonderful, though, that he does these interpretations so wonderfullly.

That's my point of view, but I respect yours ;D.
Ps havent you got more from this production?
The last aria from Robson "Dove gustitia!!" he sings with GREAT fire.

Yeah, I like him a lot. Voice is given to a singer but what he does with it is his merit. And this is true with better and less beautiful voices alike.
