@WDusty First, thnks for checking out my music and for the ariticle. I am fine with the photo, and I appreciate the music plug. Didn't realize you had so much Springfield stuff on YouTube and have enjoyed reviewing some of the other things you have done, besides Mill River.

Hi Dusty (cont.) A number of years ago I wrote and recorded a few songs about life at Springfield College. One is a bluegrass song called The Appalachian Folk Society, in which I mention the Mill River Ramblers, and a second one is called Oakland Street.

Just stumbled across your site and found it interesting. I attended Springfield College '64-68 and during my senior year I lived on Oakland Street, very close to where your opening video was shot. While at Springfield, a classmate friend of mine had a bluegrass group that he called The Mill River Ramblers. I always wondered how he came up with the name, but never thought to ask him, so I learned something. All these years, I never knew about the Mill River! (to be continued),,,,

@tompillion Tom, I did a post over at my local news website of your comments and included links to your songs. I also used one of your photos, if you don't mind. I can remove or replace the photo with anything you want, if you prefer. Check it out at springfieldintruder-dot-com (sucks that I can't just put the web addy in).
