Thanks for the video - Modern pork production - I use to raise organic pork outdoors but the customers will not pay the extra it cost. After I let my customers sample modern raised pork versus pasture raised, not one of them wanted pasture raised again. After raising both ways for 25 years, Pasture raised pork was shut down Aug. 2008. Pasture raised production had 4 times the labor. plus 30% higher input cost. That means less profit for organic pork. People would not give $25 more per hog.
I prefer local, small-farm heritage pork. No offense to Illinois, but I'm not buying it. I hardly believe this pretty picture is the norm for most industrialized farming anyhow.
