The number of people here that have no compassion truly makes me ill. The bird was climbing a thermal-- why was this animal 'stupid' 'dumb' or 'a moron' for not recognizing a thing beyond its comprehension? Should wild animals suddenly say "Oh, gee, those crazy humans must be building one of their crazy contraptions, better stay away from it!"? Isn't it our responsibility, as the 'smart' ones, to understand the impact of what we build and try to mitigate it wherever possible?
Instead, we mock.

We need more nuclear reactors on fault lines. Above ground oil/gas pipelines thru national parks and lakes. I wanna see the government promote coal furnaces in every fucking house. Fuck sewage treatment, pump it directly into our rivers and oceans. Slash and burn the entire rain forest!! I hate seeing the world die a slow death, let's get it over quick!!

The Cyprian government needs to issue a notice to avians and outlaw soaring within a few blade radii of the turbines. They should also make sure that large avians keep mandatory health insurance so that their medical bills can be paid for when things like this happens.

Thousands of deer and other animals get killed every day but I don't see anyone protesting to get rid of all forms of ground transportation...

poor bird.... that is trully sad but what can we do ? someone should put wind turbines in better geographical locations , or wait another 20 years until solar energy is 10 times stronger
