Recently took a look at the FLARToolkit library from saqoosha, and decided to do some experimentation. Here I've taken one of the tutorials that came with the package and tried to strip it down to only the marker tracking part. This example replaces the 3D basenode with just a regular Sprite.

  • very nice, believe it or not this is of more use than the 3d, congrats.

  • This is flippin' freakin' wonderful. I played with it with my birds last night who were like "whoa" and moved the little box around on the screen, then they each ran away and ran back, and ran away again. They're used to seeing themselves on video and playing with mirrors, so it was super fun.

When I open the FLA file, if I save it the flash app no longer runs. What version of flash are you editing with, I'm using CS3?

  • very nice :)
